SCUBA VBS - Spokane First Church of the Nazarene Kids ages 4years -6th grade will be challenged as they discover that God's truth never changes, everyone needs Jesus, and learn to speak the truth in love. This is a great way to have our kids involved in serving. See you Sunday!

What to expect:
Expect to serve people. We have a number of projects in our neighborhood. Most of them are trash clean up, lawn clean up, weeds, shrubs and general care to yards. Some of the work will be digging, cutting, and pulling bushes. Other jobs will be walking fence rows and picking up trash, trimming, and pulling weeds.
Our most important team will be the Prayer team which will meet in the Sanctuary. That team will support the effort that is going on in the neighborhood through prayer.
We have several other opportunities to serve at the church. Piecegivers, our quilting ministry will be open to teach people interested to do quilt tying, and pattern cutting for those who are interested in serving in this way.
We will need a few people to remain on campus to greet those who come at the regular time, not knowing we have a special service. Greeters, baristas, and several people who want to be available to chat with these friends, will make up this important team.

What to bring:
A heart prepared to give and serve. We’ve been learning to love our city and now’s our chance to prove what we’ve learned.
Yard tools (be sure to label them so you get them back)
A pair of gloves (if you plan to do some of the yard work)

What about kids?
We have nursery care for kids 3 and younger. We are encouraging parents to take their children with them on the work project and teach them to serve by letting them serve with you. Let them get in in the fun and excitement of the day. Seeing you serve and give is a precious gift to them.

What about my offering?
Part of our worship is bringing the tithe (tenth) into the storehouse. Thank you for your continued faithfulness in that area. SFNaz can serve our city so much more as all of the people bring their tithe. We will move our offering box from the back of the Sanctuary into Holy Grounds. If you’re having trouble finding it, ask a greeter. They’ll point you in the right direction. The easiest way to give online is to go through Church Center.

Anything Else?
Yes, In Luke 2 as the story of Jesus birth unfolds, there’s a cool verse that points to Mary. It says, “But Mary treasured up all these things, pondering them in her heart.” We invite you to do that too. Pay attention to the things that are happening this Sunday as you love and serve people. Miracles will happen and you’ll get to witness them. Notice, treasure, ponder, and share these cool moments. We’ll make some time during our lunch for people to share some of these moments.
