50th Anniversary celebration of the Worlds Fair!

And...action! The MAC's yearlong celebration of the 50th anniversary of Expo '74 has begun! Our gallery showcase of recently digitized archival film footage will take you back to witness the World’s Fair that put Spokane on the map. Step back in time into the brand new Riverfront Park (in full Expo regalia) as we ushered in a new way of thinking about our global community: through an environmental lens. The films experience leads up to our grand Expo Exhibition at the MAC—It Happened Here: Expo '74 Fifty Years After—which opens May 4! Take advantage of our $5 suggested donation admission until February 3. Fees return to normal then ($12 adults, $10 seniors/students, $8 children, free for kids under 5). And remember MAC Members always get in for free!

Tomorrow we reduce our adult dog adoption fees to $50 between May 8-May 15th!

In efforts to , Bissellpet-foundation and Cathy Bissell have partnered with over 350 Shelters, Spokane Humane Society being one of them, by sponsoring reduced adoption fees to help more pets find their forever homes.

All three of our locations are participating in this event. Be sure to make an appointment for our shelter location at SpokaneHumaneSociety.org, make a reservation at BARK, A Rescue Pub, and walk-in at Northpointe PetSmart during open hours. Now is the time to welcome home your newest family member!
