I thought to myself setting up this room , my room , Wow , you have so much to be grateful for . This is what you envisioned.. teaching teens to regulate their nervous system, through gentle yoga , breathing, journaling , meditation and community .

I have days where I feel overwhelmed like everyone else but I always stop to find the gratitude because I get to do an enrichment with teens who actually chose to do this with me ! This brings me joy . On the days where I feel what is happening in life I find comfort in this .

Self-awareness and emotional maturity go hand and hand you cannot have one without the other .

Emotional maturity is realizing that you should not believe everything your mind tells you , be kind to yourself and others . Show love , have understanding and compassion but don’t let it drain you , make sure others fill your cup as well . Reciprocity is a superpower πŸ€πŸ§˜πŸ½β€β™€οΈβœ¨πŸ™πŸ½ communicate be open to not taking everything personally and be impeccable with your word .

Your hips hold emotions . According to β€œ The Secret Language of your Body β€œ this book talks about the spiritual meaning behind different pain in the body and different ways you remedy it .

For the hips , it discussed some possible contributing factors such as family problems, being angry , feeling unappreciated, let down , alienated , lack of support and too much responsibility.

Something to consider when having pain in the body . Your body keeps the score , this is why movement is imperative. Yoga can help release stored emotions .

Food for thought . As always speak to your medical professional or mental health provider to see what is best for you .
