Robertson County Emergency Medical Services
The purpose of this department is to care for and transport the sick and injured and provide advanced and basic life support to the citizens of the County.
We are an ALS 911 EMS service in Robertson County TN. We have 8 ALS ambulances staffed with Critical Care Paramedics, Paramedics and AEMTs, on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. These ambulances respond from 6 stations located through out the county. On average, we respond to just approximately 10,000calls for service each year and the that number is on the rise. You can also see our crews at multiple special events through out the year.
Please keep our colleagues with NFD in your thoughts and prayers in the loss of Chief Kent Trovillion, District Chief-Paramedic, Nashville Fire Dept. EMS.
It is with great sadness we announce the loss of District Chief Kent Trovillion. We are praying for his family, who are also our NFD Family, his friends and colleagues during this difficult time. We thank him for his years of service and dedication to our community.

BACK TO SCHOOL THIS WEEK
When the stop arm extends and the lights are flashing, that means the bus has stopped and children are getting on or off. You must stop and wait until the red lights stop flashing, the stop-arm is withdrawn, and the bus begins moving, before you can start driving again.
REMEMBER
◾ Follow the designated speed limit of the school zones
◾ Pay extra attention to roadways as there will be an increase in traffic
◾ Commute times to and from work may increase. Plan ahead to leave earlier or find additional routes to work.
In Honor and Remembrance of the 4,414 Allied Soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice, to include 2,501 Americans on D-Day, June 6, 1944. Over 5,000 others were wounded in operations to free parts of the World from evil and promote freedom. We honor the 80th Anniversary of this historical day and remember the powerful history of this era.
🇺🇸 🙏
Robertson County EMS extends our condolences to our colleagues with the Nashville Fire Department in the loss of Advanced EMT Laura Huffstettler. AEMT Huffstettler was well known by many across Middle TN EMS as a very good AEMT, hard worker, and great person. Please keep her family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.
Today is the last day working at Robertson County EMS for Advanced EMT Jacob Leirer (pictured 3rd from left). He has been a great employee for the past year and we will miss him! He and his lovely wife are moving to be closer to family with their baby boy in another state. We are proud of Jacob for being a great professional and for the decision to do what is best for family. His work family will miss him and we wish him all the best!
UPDATE: No injuries have been reported pertaining to the storms this morning.
However, there have been multiple reports of trees in roadways and powerlines down. Robertson EMS and EMA are working together with volunteer fire departments and TDOT to make sure the roads are clear of fallen trees/powerlines as reported.
Make sure to stay weather aware as there is a possibility of more storms to come today.

Thank You to Mary Lee Lemley, RN Neonatal Educator with Vanderbilt Childrens Hospital for coming by to bless our on duty EMS personnel with some gifts for EMS Week. Mary Lee is an 8th generation Robertson Countian who travels all across the World teaching how to give emergency care to critically ill newborn babies. She is one of the most intelligent and wonderful people you will ever meet. Her classes have helped us literally save multiple babies just in our County alone. We are blessed to have her as a friend and as a colleague who lives right here in Robertson County.
“I have been in Middle TN EMS for right at 25 years, and my dear friend Mary Lee Lemley has been a very well known and respected colleague by many nurses, doctors, EMTs and Paramedics all across Tennessee for that long. It is always good to see her!” -Director B. Dyer
Today is the last day on the job for our good friend Josh Henderson (photo center) with our Robertson County Building and Grounds / Maintenace Department. Josh is one of the most dependable and skillful employees any place could have. He and the team at our County Maintenance Department are all great folks. They have helped us make needed repairs and updates to our facilities for much less cost than what it would take to hire an outside company. Josh is a true hometown blue collar hard working proud American. Josh has many years of service already with the US Postal Service and is returning to the US Army Corp of Engineers. He has served Robertson County well and we will miss him!
Thank You NorthCrest Medical Center for hosting an EMS Week Appreciation lunch today! Also, thanks for the cool swag gifted to our personnel. We work very well together to provide Robertson County with immediate access to high quality medical care. 💪 🚑

We are so thankful for another successful swift water rescue. The last two flood water calls have involved very dangerous situations that presented elevated risks to everyone involved. We are blessed that all people who were in need of rescue will be okay. We haven’t had any serious injuries from the tornado nor the flooding which followed. We are trying hard to keep it this way. As everyone awakens and heads to work, please know many areas will possibly have flooding. Please don’t risk your safety! Please use alternate routes or wait until waters recede before attempting to pass. Go home safe to those who care about you. 🙏 Thank you to all agencies, law enforcement partners, fire departments, EMA, everyone has worked well together to keep our community safe.
Please contact family and friends and be sure they understand the dangers of driving through flooded roads in swift water. We have had multiple water rescues, one active currently in the Lahr Rd area off Hwy 49. Our friends in Sumner County have multiple rescues underway involving some technical rescue operations to rescue people from swift water (very dangerous for all involved). Please spread the word to keep vehicles out of flooded areas. 🙏 Emergency services continue into a busy night. Calls for people trapped in swift water come in as quick as units can complete other assignments. Please don’t drive in flood waters. Let’s get everyone and our responders home safe.

Emergency services, under the direction of the Robertson County EMA is working to check any damaged locations for injuries to make everyone safe. We are working with our schools and have assisted with moving bus 57 safely over to Cheatham Park School in Springfield for reunification with parents and safe transport on to student’s homes. Our schools are doing a great job organizing transport with a focus on safety of the students. Earlier, bus 57 took shelter in the EMS facility during the approach of a storm, given the reports of a tornado touchdown. All students were kept safe, EMS units have deployed to various locations for further assignment as we assess our needs for further resources. BND, 1540 hrs, 5/8/24

Please keep our colleagues from Morristown-Hamblen EMS (East TN) in your thoughts and prayers as they suffered a huge loss today in the passing of one of their paramedic supervisors while he was at work, on a call. We have close friendships with the leaders in that department, including our Brother who passed away. The loss of our friend and colleague is heavy on the hearts of many across our State. 🙏

As many already know, our service suffered a great loss that will be hard to overcome. Todd Giles has been part of Morristown EMS for over 35 years. We ask you pray for the family and all of our employees.
We ask for respect and privacy for the family and our work family at this time.
Robertson County EMS is partnering with Cross Plains Fire Dept. to provide Emergency Medical Responder (EMR/First Responder) training for personnel who work or volunteer with multiple fire departments in the area. We are training firefighters from Cross Plains FD, Pleasant View, Orlinda, Highland FD in Portland/Sumner County, White House Community Vol FD and others to first respond to medical emergencies. The training goes for right at 10 weeks. It’s great having this in the same building as our EMS crews, as they can help share experience, skills and mentor those beginning to learn what they know well. The students are doing well and are taking good notes! After all, it’s important stuff they’re learning!
Imagine calling 911 because someone you love is so very sick that you think “this could be it…”, today could be the day I lose them. Some days, that happens to people and it is a part of life even the best clinicians cannot change. However, some days the right people are at work and our Creator has purpose still within the one who is weak, sick, or dying. This week began with a call where I went to help a crew care for a lady who had the nicest family. Bless them, they had already lost one loved one in the same week and almost lost another. As I was helping my colleagues, I watched as they loved and cared for this lady like she was their own mother, cleansing her and handling her carefully while still rushing her to the ambulance. Their treatment was spot on, quickly administered, and effective. By the time the lady arrived at a Nashville hospital, she felt so much better. At first, I myself wasn’t sure she was going to do well. I was impressed and know that when it’s my family next time, that’s what I want. RobCo Medic 2-C, Critical Care Paramedic Megan Consiglio, AEMT Sara Moore, we also tricked one of our C shift supervisors, Lt. Kerrie Beauchemin into the pic. They are some of the best. I am thankful for people like this on our team!

Out of an abundance of caution, all after-school activities are canceled due to potential weather this afternoon. All campuses will be cleared by 3:30 pm today, 4/2/24. This includes tutoring, club activities, and athletic events.
C-shift Medic 5, out of the Coopertown Station… Paramedic/FTO Emily Hughes and AEMT Cullen King. They received recognition from Tennova Hospital in Clarksville for their mutual aid response in the December 2023 tornadoes that struck our region. While almost all Counties were experiencing severe weather that evening and while severe weather was impending, they pushed on and helped move critically injured patients to a Nashville Trauma Center. Their level of dedication and competency was important because in the middle of managing our own tornado event, we knew we were sending them into something very serious. They did a great job and represented Robertson County very well.
Excellent job by the Peasant Pleasant View Volunteer Fire Department team!
