Springfield College Parents

Springfield College is a private college in Springfield, Massachusetts. The institution confers undergraduate and graduate degrees. No one else has it.

Since 1885, Springfield College has made a difference in the world. Our commitment to the Humanics philosophy is what sets us apart. You may be asking, “what is that?” We’re always happy to share. The Humanics philosophy calls for educating students in spirit, mind, and body for leadership in service to others. We focus on helping students develop the whole person so they can serve as leaders in their communities, organizations, companies–wherever their next steps take them.

Giving Day 2022 03/09/2022

It’s Giving Day at Springfield College! Have you been following along?

We’ve launched a whole bunch of challenge initiatives since going LIVE with Giving Day at 12:01 this morning, and how people are responding! It’s an exciting time here on the campus, and everyone is getting in on the action– students, faculty, staff, alumni – even our mascot, Spirit, is out and about bringing cheer on this special day.

Reminder: There is a challenge just for parents of current Springfield College students. (That’s you!) If 40 Springfield College parents make a gift of $10 or more by the end of Giving Day on March 9, Dick Warner ‘67 will give an ADDITIONAL $1,000 to the Springfield College Fund!

We’re currently at 48 donors toward this challenge, so will you consider a gift to the area of need that most interests you? We’re feeling confident that we’ll get to our goal of 2,022 donors by midnight PST, but can’t get there without the support of the entire Springfield College community.

Will you join us with a gift of $10 or more today?

It’s easy:

Visit springfield.edu/givingday. (We accept credit card, and PayPal.)
Call (413) 748-3124.
Phone lines will be open until midnight EST.

Today, on the twentieth anniversary of the attacks of September 11, 2001, we ask the Springfield College community, past and present, to join us in remembering and reflecting on both the loss of life and the noble examples of leadership in service to others exhibited that day and in the days that followed.

In addition to a formal ceremony outside Marsh Memorial at 8:30 a.m., the tolling of the bells in the Campus Union will mark the tragic events of the day:

8:46 a.m.: The crash of Flight 11 into the north tower of the World Trade Center.
9:03 a.m.: The crash of Flight 175 into the south tower of the World Trade Center.
9:37 a.m.: The crash of Flight 77 into the Pentagon.
9:59 a.m.: The collapse of the south tower of the World Trade Center.
10:03 a.m.: The crash of Flight 93 in Pennsylvania.
10:28 a.m.: The collapse of the north tower of the World Trade Center.
