Clair Shores is a multi-mission, year-round unit, that conducts warm weather Search and Rescue and Law Enforcement, including Integrated Cross Border Maritime Enforcement and winter Ice Rescue.

Today was a very bittersweet day. We said goodbye to ME2 Winslow and BM3 Santiago Castro as they continue their careers on CGC Alex Haley and CGC Seahawk respectively. You both will be missed and we wish you the best of luck. We also had the privilege of advancing two members. Congratulations to BM2 Reichenbach and BM2 Hernandez-Hooker on your advancement to Boatswains Mate Second Class.

Reminder: Station St Clair Shores will be hosting a Free open house this Saturday June 15th from 1000-1400. Come tour the unit and the boats. A Coast Guard Air Station Detroit helicopter will be conducting a Search and Rescue Demo at 1200. CG Auxiliary will be on board conducting free vessel safety exams. Coastie the remote controlled tugboat will be there as well as the PFD Panda. CG Recruiters will be available. Come join the fun!

In support of National Safe Boating Week and to kick off the 2023 recreational boating season, the crew of Coast Guard Station Saint Clair Shores is inviting the public to a free open house. The open house will allow the public to tour the unit and view the search and rescue boats and equipment. The Coast Guard Auxiliary will be on hand to discuss boating safety as well as perform free vessel safety checks at Blossom Heath Boat Launch.
