This week, our Big Futures program hosted our annual Meet and Eat event at Dogwood Social House in Cape Girardeau! It was a GREAT event for our high school Littles to get to know Big Futures and how we support them once they transition from 1:1 mentoring. High school Littles enjoyed great food and games during this event while building relationships with staff, peers, and local Alumni Littles! We had a GREAT time connecting and showing what Big Futures is about!

Last month, BBBSEMO joined 230 agencies at the Big Brothers Big Sisters of America National Conference in Dallas, Texas. We were honored to have our work recognized by CEO Artis Stevens during his national address and named a Platinum Award recipient for meeting and exceeding national benchmarks for national impact and growth goals!
To make the conference more special, our beloved Alumni, Little Brother Kiari Ellison, masterfully moderated a panel of speakers who discussed the impact of mentorship on mental health. The significance of Kiari’s journey and the support he received from his Big Brother, Randy, is an endearing testament to the fantastic people we are privileged to meet and serve through our work.
We are grateful for the vision and leadership of our national CEO, Artis Stevens, our agency CEO, Kristen Heine Slaughter, and all the staff, volunteers, partners, and families who help us achieve our mission.
