A utopia is defined as an ideally perfect place. In the novel The Testing, Cia lives in a utopian world designed to provide food, shelter, and safety to the people of the community. 7th graders read the book then were tasked with creating their own utopia. Their utopia should meet the needs of a variety of people, include a government and school system, and be an ideal place to live. They presented their utopian communities to students and staff last week.
We loved celebrating our 8th grade class under the Neon Lights tonight at the 8th grade party! Next week should be full of fun with Field Day and the Celebration, so rest up this weekend.
