Located on the 6th floor of the FLTC building, this cutting-edge facility is shared by the Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology (ENT), and Neuro-surgery departments. Under the expert supervision of Dr. Brian Faddis (ENT), this space features advanced surgical scopes, clean/dirty spaces, and a state-of-the-art AV system for training and innovation.

We had a great time hosting the 7th Annual David C. Beebe Lectureship on Thursday, September 7th ๐
This yearโs keynote speaker, Dr. Vladimir Kefalov, PhD, a leading professor of Ophthalmology at the University of California, Irvine, delivered a fascinating lecture titled โFrom a Cone-Specific Visual Cycle to Preventing Retinal Degeneration.โ
His insights into the complexities of visual cycles and their impact on retinal health highlighted the critical need for ongoing research in preventing degenerative eye diseases. ๐๏ธโจ

Congrats to Jacob Strelnikov, MS, Alexandra Zdonczyk, MD, Margaret M. Reynolds, MD, Lawrence Tychsen, MD, and Mae Gordon, PhD on their newly published paper in the American Journal of Ophthalmology.
Their research, titled "Social and Quality of Life Impact of Refractive Surgery in Children with Developmental Disorders and Spectacle Non-Adherence," sheds light on the profound effects of refractive surgery on the lives of children with developmental disorders.
