Samuel Saunders graduated Cum Laude from Ranken’s Information Technology Program in 2014. He now holds the position of Senior Cyber Security Analyst at SysTec, LLC. Samuel is proud to have been on the Dean’s list and graduated with honors. Sam tells us, “[Ranken] provided me an exceptional career path and put the tools in my hands to make it happen.”
Charles Corrigan explains, “Sam is a hard worker and excelled academically. He exemplified the work ethic we try to instill in Ranken students. Sam was a good team player, but also had the ability to step up and lead when necessary. Sam was a great student and was the example when it came to work ethic.”
Mike Baker, Sr., Owner, SysTec, LLC, shares, “Sam started as a parttime PC technician in 2014, while attending Ranken and after he graduated, he started working fulltime. Since then, he has risen up the ranks to be the Chief Security Officer of our MSP Company. He has been there every step of the way and is essential to the company’s expanded client base and overall success. He single-handedly started our Securities division that currently offers services like Advanced Email security, Advanced Firewall services, and Pe*******on testing to name a few to over 150 local businesses. Sam’s motivation to succeed is amazing and his work ethic is unparalleled. He is the type of person that will take a project, develop it, and be there through all phases of its implementation to ensure that it is completed in a timely manner and on budget for our clients. Sam has become a valuable asset to this company.”
Sam recalls learning a valuable lesson in Mr. Corrigan’s classroom, “I fell asleep in class and Charles made a joke about it. That was embarrassing, but I never did that again.”
Samuel’s brother-in-law, Andrew Berry, graduated Summa Cum Laude from Ranken’s Industrial Technology program in May 2022.
