I'm often asked why our sessions are two weeks long. Why no one-week sessions? This is why: Jefunira Camp is about friendship and connections. It's not about what you are doing, it's about the people with whom you are doing it. It's easier to build and grow friendships and connections over a two-week period. The importance of friends can't be overstated. So we choose to make our sessions two weeks long.

I'm Training Local Kids To Say Hi 02/01/2023

At Jefunira Camp, we work to make sure that everyone is met with a smile and a greeting: a "hello", a wave, a fist bump, a high five (and sometimes all of those). It is such an easy and powerful way to make someone feel seen and welcomed and valued. So I was really excited to read this piece by camp parent Julie Lythcott-Haims in which she talks about the power and importance of a hello.

I'm Training Local Kids To Say Hi It’s not as weird as it sounds.

Our Story

Jeff and Ira started Jefunira Camp 28 years ago with the idea that kids wanted to get outside and play during the summertime. We focus on play, inclusion, participation and fun! At the end of the day we hope campers leave tired, happy, and excited to come back! Join us in Palo Alto for another year of building friendships, capturing flags, playdough making, lip syncing and much, much more! “Summer fun since ‘91!!”
