For Father's Day our men absolutely loved the conversations with their fellow dads, the homemade banana bread muffins, and delicious apple pies! They really got a kick out of the cool designs on the cookies too! They cheered with their Rootbeers while celebrating each other. Happy Father’s Day to all of our Westhaven Dads! 💙

Home grown and we are so proud! You and your daughter accomplished every goal you set for yourselves! Candice White and Ms. Charlie Hawk we are so proud of you both!

Today starts CNA week! Make sure you stop by, send flowers, give hugs, shower them with kind words, donuts, candy, and above all, love to all of our amazing CNAs. Without them our system world fail. They are the backbone of the care that is given! We love you guys and gals so much and thank you for doing hard work you do!

Goodbyes seem to mean forever so we will say see you later. Our Business office manager of 12 years has moved on to make ways for her future in the health care community. Nischa Williams we wish you the absolute best and know that you will do great things for your new community! We are going to miss you and thank you for all you have done for our residents, families and staff! 💙🤍

Now that we have finally been able to rest after some much needed Nursing Home Week Fun, our activity director , Tamara Axton would like to say:

I want to give a Huge shoutout to GINA CLARK andJODIE HARPER for all her help with Nursing Home Week ! I definitely couldn't have done it without YOU ! It is so true that it takes a village to pull it all off. I would like to thank all the staff members who helped and serve the food. Thank you to our vendors who helped either donate some items or their time this past week. KC , BROOKE , DANIEL , CHRISTINE , ANNETTE , CHELSEA , Let's not forget to thank the band, dancers, and cute farm animals .Our residents absolutely enjoyed every single day of fun activities and food. Thank you all for making it so special. We ❤️ our residents !

Friday we ended National Nursing Home Week with a bang! Westhaven on Western had Western day (try saying that 5 times fast😳)!! Line dancers, live animals, good treats and of course our amazing Residents! We just can’t express how much we love them. You deserve to be celebrated like this every day and we are so happy there is a week dedicated to you. You are the reason we get up everyday and do what we do and you make it so easy because we just absolutely love you! Thank you Westhaven Nurisng and Rehab residents and thank you to our staff! Yee haw!

Nursing home week up date:

Thursday was a full day filled with musical movies that were AWESOME!
Our residents snacked on fresh hot buttered popcorn, nachos, pickles, soda, and candy. They enjoyed watching movies all day. Starting with an Oklahoma Western movie, Grease, Momma Mia, then ending the evening with Star Trek !

Nursing Home Week update:

Let’s go to the hop! Check out our residents enjoying a blast from the past at our 1950’s Diner themed soc hop! We had a cool DJ playing music from the 50’s of course! Gave away prizes for music trivia. Ate delicious Hamburgers with french fries, sipped on Rootbeer Floats and indulged in cotton candy. Out Staff looked great in their outfits too. 💗

Our residents are having the best time this week being celebrated! Tuesdays are for luaus at Westhaven and our Activities coordinator, Tamara Axton and her team sure did not disappoint! Check out all the fun pics of our residents and staff having a blast!

Monday was filled with all kinds of 1950 -1980 games like Dominoes, Candy Land , Uno , Scrabble and Singo /Bingo .

Friday we got to welcome all the moms of Westhaven into our home for our yearly Mother’s Day Tea. Oh it did not disappoint! This year was the biggest turn out yet! Our moms had the best time! Thank you Tamara Axton, you always know how to throw the best parties. Thank you to our outstanding Mothers for being the beautiful women you are.

Happy Mother’s Day to all of our wonderful mothers out there! We love you and thank you for all that you are!

In honor of National Nursing Home week, we would like to invite you to donate to our canned food drive for our local Payne County Health Department Pantry. We will be excepting donations this Monday - Sunday! Drop off all canned goods or anything else that has shelf life to our Social services and activities directors! Anything big or small will mean so much! If you can’t donate here please reach out to them! No one should be left with out!

Our residents showing their love and appreciation for our nurses during nursing home week! They made sure that every nurse had more than one card to show their gratitude. The love was felt from everyone!

Happy belated to these two beauties! Charlee, Social services director, and Ashley, LPN are fairly new to our Westhaven family and we are so happy that they are here! We hope that you had wonderful days celebrating your days of hatching 🐣 thank you for all that you do for our residents, we love you both!

🎉🥳Help us say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our infection control queen, Rachel Evans! Rachel has been at Westhaven for over ten years growing from a CNA to LPN, ADON and Infection control! I think she kinda likes us😜 We appreciate all that you do to help keep our residents and employees safe from all the nasty infectious bugs 🦠of the world! Have a very blessed and pampered day! 🎂

Our Vets had a wonderful time yesterday but let’s not forget our Activities Director who was recognized for all that she does for our Vets and our Veteran Community! Congrats Tamara Axton for all of your hard work a dedication to our residents and the Stillwater Community!

What an amazing way we are able to celebrate our Vets! We absolutely love this time of year and what our Stillwater/OSU COMMUNITY does for our residents! Thank you so much for honoring our Vets!

Westhaven hosts Christmas party for disabled veterans Nearly a dozen veterans gathered around a table in the Westhaven Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center at S. Western Road on Friday.

As we transition into our Christmas holiday season, we would like to share our impromptu Thanksgiving. Covid had struck us again but we made due with what we could and celebrated life with our families and friends! Thank you to all that came out to give thanks for all the blessings we have received! Our residents enjoyed good food and wonderful fellowship! Thank you Tamara for always putting on the best gatherings for our residents!

Happy Thanksgiving from our Westhaven family to yours. We are thankful for our residents and our staff! We could not do what we do with out the love and suppprt from both. We hope you all enjoy a wonderful day filled with so many blessings to be thankful for!
