I had some apples in the refrigerator and decided to make these Rose Apple Tarts tonight. These thinly sliced Pink Lady apples are seasoned with the fall spice blend and wrapped in a flaky and buttery pastry. The smell brings everyone out to see what is in Mama Dollars’s oven now. These tasty little treats are sure to be a hit at any brunch or as an afternoon treat. pie

I was asked to make this pot of collard greens with potatoes and Cajun sausage. If this picture was a scratch-n-sniff you’d smell what I do. Hot water cornbread is a classic that is never forgotten in my kitchen. Not saying baked cornbread is not good, but my mother and grandmother ate their greens with a piece of hot water cornbread pinched between two fingers. Everything else was eaten with a fork, but the greens and cornbread was finger food… lol My kitchen is a reflection of those memories 💕💕

Picture perfect colors! I did a little juicing because the nutrients from the fresh fruits and vegetables are much better without the preservatives needed for them to sit on the store shelf. I don’t know about you, but the vibrant colors of these fresh juices makes me want to just drink them all up all at once or just let them sit there and look pretty.

There are moments when you are reminded of special times and events. Yesterday was one of those moments while spending time with the beautiful woman on the cake. I was reminded of how I really had fun making this customized cake and cupcakes. The cake was a white w/lemon curd filling. The cupcakes were: Mimosa, Roasted Coconut, Strawberry, and Lemon.

I find there is nothing better than what you make from scratch. I love, love, love to go in to my kitchen and just create different foods. Here I wanted to make some chicken enchiladas and so I had to start with making these very flavorful flour tortillas. To prepare them, takes less than five minutes of mixing time and then letting the dough rest for about 15 minutes before rolling them out and you cook them. It is well worth the time it takes, and the flavor is one that you will never forget.
