Side note: Not sure if you guys notice but I haven’t been posting much lately. After the crazy holiday rush last year I was so drained. I decided to give myself a bit of a break to recoup. During this time I had questioned myself on what I really wanted to do this upcoming year with this business. Well, I have decided to take it easy on the cookie orders and want to focus more on my craft and my mental health this year. Really focusing on my aesthetic and perfecting my skills and doing so without the stress of schedules and deadlines. With that said, I will be only taking limited orders throughout the rest of the year. For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Thu (pronounce like 2!) so it’s my day!! 😂

I really enjoyed making this gift set because Tết (Vietnamese New Year) is my all time favorite holiday! This is when families gets together, have lots of Tết food, wish each other good luck, give children Lì Xì (red lucky envelopes), and light firecrackers to scare away evil spirits.

This is why my gift set included a
Tiger because it’s the year of the Tiger
Bánh Chưng - traditional steamed rice cake wrapped in banana leaf made only during Tết
Lì Xì - Lucky Red envelope stuffed with lucky crisp money
Firecrackers - to scare away evil spirits
