ICA held a forum in collaboration with the IIT Kanpur Foundation at the India Community Center (ICC) on May 25th, 2024, featuring Dr. Anil Rajvanshi and his wife, Dr. Nandini Nimbkar. Serving as the director and president of the Nimbkar Agricultural Research Institute (NARI) respectively, the couple has worked tirelessly to bring sustainable energy and agricultural practices to rural populations in India. They have received numerous accolades for their efforts. Notably, Dr. Rajvanshi received a Padma Shri in 2022. Dr. Rajvanshi detailed his educational journey and work in pioneering the ethanol lantern, gasifier, and electric rickshaw, among other projects. Dr. Nimbkar outlined the evolution of NARI from a small seed company to a prominent agricultural institute. The event was very insightful and engaging for all.

Dear ICA Patrons,
At the 2023 Indians for Collective Action (ICA) Forum, it was heartwarming to learn about the many initiatives and the vision of India becoming a global superpower in Science and Technology from the Secretary of India, Abhay Karandikar.
However, the recently introduced Multi-Dimensional Deprivation Index (MPI) places approximately 645 million (55.4%) Indians below the poverty line. India still faces "intense poverty," and your continued support in addressing this through your financial contributions is much appreciated!
ICA is steadfast in its mission to support underprivileged communities in India by collaborating with nonprofits working at the grassroots level.
As we embark on 2024, your support is indispensable in achieving our shared goal of uplifting the poor and marginalized. We sincerely appreciate your support if you have already contributed this year. If not, there is no better time than now to make an everlasting impact.
