The implementation of an evidence based pain therapy including non-pharmacological interventions after surgery is still lacking in many hospitals in India. Music can enhance therapy efficacy and should be used as a non-pharmacological intervention in combination with conventional treatment format.

Indian Classical Dance forms are rhythmic patterns of flowing the movements with music. The Ekpada sthanak in Kathak and Bharatanatyam are employed in classical dance has its variant in the Vrikasana (yoga posture). Music therapist can use this posture during therapy sessions for parkinson's.

The selection of songs are based on the work of Rabindranath Tagore, Dwijendralal Roy, Atul Prasad Sen and Rajanikant Sen to enhance the four parameters of Music Therapy including Cognition, Sensorimotor, mental health and speech - communication of Older Adults.
