Today, Dr.Matt goes over the high pull exercise with rotation which is a very good stabilization workout for your shoulders. He also goes over the face pull so with a single band you can get the same motion as the high pull.

Today Dr.Matt does a guide to push press including how middle age people can properly and safely do it.

Push press is a great core movement and core exercise that is very functional however it should not be done if your having shoulder issues. You can help resolve these with some of the shoulder rehab videos on the GoTherex channel and site.

Barbell Bench Press After Recovering From Shoulder Injury. Today, Dr.Matt goes over three variations of the flat barbell benchpress: standard, wide-grip, and closed-grip.

Standard will enable leg drive, the wide-grip accentuates the pecs more, and the closed-grip focuses more on the triceps and shoulders.

Today, Dr.Matt goes over some dumbbell press variations: alternating, single-armed, and tempo presses.

The alternating press will engage the core and be a good chest workout, the single-armed will engage the core even more and isolate the pec on one side, finally, the tempo will get a forceful concentric which is going to overload the muscle.

GoTherex Body Transformation Challenge

We are so excited to announce that we successfully finished the GoTherex Body Transformation Challenge. We did this 5 month challenge because we wanted to show you the ins and outs along with real raw footage of natural body transformations. In January and in June, we got our body composition tests with DexaBody. In this video, we are going to hear from Dr. Matt as he talks in detail about his DexaBody scan report, and all the things he did in order to get the amazing results he got.

The most amazing part about Matt's transformation is his weight loss results as his starting weight during the first DexaBody scan on January 21st was 201.7 lbs and five months after, on June 13th, the new DexaBody scan results showed that his current weight was 177.7 lbs. This is a total of 23.6 lbs of body fat lost. Matt only had 0.1 lbs of muscle lost which means that he was able to lose 24 lbs without losing any lean muscle tissue! How did Matt do that? This video will tell you everything you need to know.

As part of the GoTherex Body Transformation Challenge, Matt has taken up swinging a mace. Mace swings are great for mobilizing the shoulder and working on stabilization. Heavy swings are a great lats, triceps, and core workout.

Today Dr. Matt checks out The Good Feet Store!

As Matt increases his walking and running he wants to ensure he has good shoes and arch supports to help ensure his body is able to endure the increased demands.  Matt has a history of flat feet and pain in his ankles, knees, and back that have come from his flat feet.

In this video Giuliana shows us her three favorite exercises: bench squats (Using a bench or a box to squat is a great way to eliminate weaknesses at the bottom range of motion of the exercise. You'll stand in front of the box, and then lower yourself as if you were sitting down. When your butt touches the bench, push yourself back up), barbell rows (Barbell Rows are a full body, compound exercise. They work your upper-back, lower back, hips and arms. They build a stronger, muscular back and bigger biceps. Barbell Rows are one of the most effective assistance exercises you can do to increase your Squat, Bench Press and Deadlift), and incline dumbbell bench press (Unlike the more traditional flat bench press, the incline press shifts the focus of the movement to the upper portion of the pectoral muscle groups and the front of the shoulder. This allows for greater hypertrophy (muscle growth) of the upper chest when the exercise is performed regularly)
