🌟 That's a wrap! 🎉 The Adult Ballet Intensive 2024 has gracefully come to an end! 🌟

Today, our talented students twirled through Ballet Technique, leapt into a lively Musical Theatre Workshop, stretched and conditioned, polished their turns, and poured their hearts into perfecting a beautiful culmination ballet number. 🩰

These dancers have worked their pointe shoes off and are ready to showcase what they've learned. Join us next Saturday, August 10, 2024, at 7 pm at the University Place Civic and Library Building, 3609 Market Pl W, University Place, WA 98466, for a magical evening of dance! 💃✨

One of the most exciting parts of this intensive was making so many new dance friends. We’re sure these friendships will last a lifetime, as we’ve all bonded over our shared love for ballet. Come support your new dance family and see their incredible progress! 🌟

We're 3/4 of the way through this Ballet Intensive marathon, and it's been an incredible journey! Today, our talented dancers tackled Ballet Technique, explored Dance History, practiced Pre-Pointe and Pointe, and dived into Dance Choreography. 🎉 Come see what they've been working on!

Many of the participants will be showcasing what they've learned during the intensive in a special community dance presentation next Saturday, along with other fantastic numbers by DTNW. 🌟

🎉 We're halfway through the Adult Summer Intensive Program! Day 2 was packed with energy as our amazing students honed their ballet technique, explored variations, enjoyed a stretch and conditioning session, and even attended a lecture on injury prevention. The excitement is building as we head into Day 3, though we might need a little extra warm-up after such an intense start! 😅

I only realized today that a very good friend, Owen Edwin Nasr, also died on July 25th. He brought something very special to my life with his music, compositions, graceful energy and good nature. Today, I want to honor his memory and also to share something I wrote for him back in 2007...

Angels visit but not for long.

They come to share their glorious song.

Their music fills our hearts with hope,

with thoughts of love and wistfulness.

And, while we feel them in our midst,

we know they’re one of God’s Great Gifts.

Qwen Nasr was an Angel to me and

I shall forever feel his presence in my life.

Youth Ballet (5:50 pm) CANCELLED, Tuesday, July 9th due to excessive heat in Studio B. All classes in Studio A will continue as scheduled.

Air conditioning is being installed in Studio B today; unfortunately, it will not be in time for class today. We anticipate starting Wednesday with Studio B up and running for regular classes.

Adult/Teen Beginning Tap (6:00 pm) CANCELLED
Monday, July 8th, due to excessive heat in Studio B.
