As we reflect on 2024, we want to send a shoutout to our partner BECU and their Housing Stability Grant. We have already served 15 clients with this funding this year, all of whom are seniors and 60% of them are living with a disability. Their average income is 23% of our area median income and they are now safe and stable in their homes thanks to this partnership. Thank you BECU!

This past Saturday, Tacoma Public Utilities and their incredible team of over 25 volunteers hit the ground running to help a homeowner in need and complete their Rebuilding Day project. We are incredibly grateful to Lowe's Home Improvement for their Spring Competitive Grant, which made a huge difference for our homeowner Patricia. With these funds, we were able to install brand-new cabinets in Patricia's home, giving her a beautiful and functional kitchen. Additionally, we constructed a ramp to ensure she can safely and easily access her home using her scooter. Patricia's quality of life has improved tremendously thanks to this support. We’re proud to partner with local organizations to address the needs of our community and enhance the services they provide.

Through our collaboration with Salal Credit Union, we completed crucial safety and maintenance repairs at New Connections, a transitional housing space for women here in Tacoma. This SheBuilds project ensures that residents have a secure and supportive environment to help them rebuild their lives. 💚

Rebuilding Together South Sound is applying for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s new Preservation and Reinvestment Initiative for Community Enhancement (PRICE) Program. This program will support communities in their efforts to maintain, protect and stabilize manufactured housing and manufactured housing communities.

As a part of our application, we will be accepting public commentary. Individuals can provide public comments online, in person or by mail:
