Ms. Julia Rogers (Assistant Director of Facilities at NSU Broken Arrow and Affiliate Champion of the Keep Oklahoma Beautiful Environmental Excellence Awards) will be our guide as we unplug from technology and reconnect with the environment by building connections with nature. Relax, reflect, and learn about the campus, community, and yourself as we celebrate NSU's natural resources.
This event is free and open to the public. Attendees can choose up to three seed packets as a thank-you gift!

"April 24 is Denim Day, which coincides with Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Denim Day is typically observed by wearing a denim article of clothing to show solidarity with survivors of sexual assault. The color for Sexual Assault Awareness Month is teal blue.
We at the NSU Libraries warmly everyone to wear their favorite denim clothing, teal blue clothing, or both for Denim Day 2024.
You can stop by the South End of the JVL to pick up a teal blue ribbon and view the Clothesline Project and the Sexual Assault Awareness Month display.

Join the NSU Libraries Earth Day Committee for "An Overview of Algae-Based Wastewater Treatment" on Wednesday, April 25 at 10 AM. This presentation will be hosted at Lab 105 in the John Vaughan Library on the Tahlequah campus. This event is free and open to the public.

Dr. Mai Anh Vu Tran, Associate Professor in the College of Business & Technology on the NSU-Broken Arrow campus, presents how algae-based wastewater treatment is one of the applications that can be used as an advanced treatment. There are a variety of algae species that have the potential to aid in wastewater treatment while also being environmentally friendly. The advantages and disadvantages of algae-based wastewater treatment will be reviewed in this presentation.
