📌We had a wonderful craft and cuddles class yesterday. Attendees learned about different body scrubs and got to make and take home sugar body scrubs. We love having these classes 📝 for our community, and all the proceeds go to support our Animal Therapy program 🦙🐇🐓🐈‍⬛🐖!

We visited Lighthouse of the Big Bend, one of our favorite places! Leilani the llama enjoyed visiting for the first time and gave lots of kisses to both staff and campers!

Following our previous post, in order to make the wonderful manure 🫖, we need our Rescue bunnies 🐰 to have good feed. We are running low on pellets and Timothy hay.

We would love donations and they can be purchased online at tractor supply - Tallahassee Vineland location and we will pick them up. Thank you in advance!

Did you know that rabbit 🐇 p**p 💩 is the perfect fertilizer for your plants? You can make a “tea” and pour it directly on them.

“Rabbit manure is packed with nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, and many minerals, lots of micro-nutrients, plus many other beneficial trace elements such as calcium, magnesium, boron, zinc, manganese, sulfur, copper, and cobalt just to name a few.”

We will have rabbit manure “tea bags” in stock soon! ;-)

Before and after of Wednesday the Angora bunny 🐰. Angoras do not shed on their own and must be sheared or they can mat and overheat very easily. We managed to save some of the fiber and it will be spun, but a lot of bit was felted together. She is much cooler now and ready for the summer! You can see she lost enough hair for 3 rabbits 🐇 😅.

Tomorrow she gets a fresh cut for the summer, welcome to the Rescue sweet girl!

This adorable, floofy angora girl just arrived at RLRescue. Her sweet human caretaker who rescued her from a situation was getting overwhelmed with the amount of grooming this bunny requires, and understandably so. Since our executive director is a fiber artist we have a soft spot for high needs Angora bunnies here. We got her nails trimmed and a few mats cut out and set her up in our air-conditioned office. On Friday she will get a full shave for the summer! 🌞🐇🥰

Did you know, so far this year, RLRescue has already taken in, cared for and adopted out 146 farm animals in need!?! Of that number 44 were bunnies! That is a 60% increase from last year! 😳

We visited the Villas at Killearn Lakes today with our one of our Animal Therapy teams. It is wonderful to see the joy our animals bring to all, and the young volunteers making a connection with the older generations 😃.
