Zijn jullie wellicht geïnteresseerd in een vlaggenlijn (met Nl leeuw), 2 staande vlaggetjes en een set van 8 papieren bordjes (nieuw in verpakking) van Nederland?

We komen al ruim 20 jaar in de zomer in Bradenton, maar mijn (schoon)moeder is weer terug naar Nl verhuisd.

Voordat we dit bij het vuilnis neerzetten, de vraag of jullie interesse hierin hebben.

Het is tot a.s. donderdag gratis op te halen bij ons adres op River Strand, Heritage Harbour.

Howdy!

I've been self-learning Dutch for some time now. Admittedly, I'm not very good at it and to help me improve, I've been looking for tutors. I've been trying to transition from online tutors to in-person, but I can't find anybody in the area who so much as speaks Dutch. In fact, this group is the only relevant thing I've found. I was hoping you might be able to point me in the right direction.

I have a few letters from relatives in Holland that were sent to the US from the 1950-1960. I would love to have then translated into English. I would pay for this service. I recently donated a Dutch Army notebook from my grandfathers to a museum in Holland. He served in the The Dutch Army in 1870 and passed in 1968. My Dutch history is very Important to me. Any help with the letters would be appreciated. Thank You

Sunday December 3rd Sinterklaas party.

Some time ago during a get together at my house I introduced Mieke and others to Ram Kancharla.
He is the V.P. of Planning and Development for Tampa, the largest port of Florida.

Florida is expanding and the harbor is doing the same.
He can provide an educational tour through Tampa harbor on a boat at no cost for our Club.
There is room for 40 people. Parking will be possible in front of Cruise Terminal 3.
The date he will be able to guide this tour is Tuesday, November 14, 2023.
Members and guests should arrive approximately at 1:15 - 1:25 pm
At 1:30 pm we will be escorted to the dock for departure at 1:30 pm.
Duration of the tour about 1:30 hour.
Refreshments are available for purchase.

Please, let me know as soon as possible if this date and time works for us.

I can assure you that it is a very interesting tour.

Some recipes that won last week during the appetizer competition.

Carolina Caviar:
1 can of black beans

1 can of black eyed peas

1 can of white shoepeg corn

1 small jar of chopped pimentos

1 medium Vidalia onion, chopped

4 stalks of celery, chopped



1/2 cup canola oil

1/2 cup apple cider vinegar

1/2 cup sugar



On the stovetop, mix canola oil, apple cider vinegar, and sugar on low heat until sugar is fully dissolved. Remove from heat and allow to cool.

Drain and rinse beans, peas, corn, and pimentos. Add to a bowl with chopped celery and onion.

Once cool, pour liquid mixture over everything.



We recommend making it a day in advance and stirring every few hours for all of the flavors to marinate! Serve with chips.

▢1 8 oz cream cheese – 1 block at room temperature
▢1 stick butter – room temperature
▢¾ cup powdered sugar (confectioners sugar)
▢2 tablespoons light brown sugar
▢1 ½ teaspoon vanilla
▢1 pinch kosher salt
▢1 cup mini chocolate chips
Dippers
▢2 cups fresh strawberries, rinsed, hulled and halved
▢1 cup mini pretzels
▢1 sleeve graham crackers
▢waffle cones – broken into pieces
Instructions

Using a hand mixer, beat butter and cream cheese until smooth. Add in powdered sugar, brown sugar, vanilla and salt and mix until blended. Using a spatula, fold in chocolate chips.

Place dip in a serving bowl on a serving tray. Add fruit, cookies and pretzels around bowl. Serve!

Dip can be stored in a covered container in fridge until ready to serve.
