🚗 This morning, I experienced firsthand why *standards matter* in the NEMT industry. A driver, unfamiliar with English, arrived in my driveway, thinking I was her pick-up. To clarify, she showed me her phone, which displayed the address and the passenger’s name. When I asked if she was providing Non-Emergency Medical Transportation, she replied with a big smile, “Yes!”

While I helped point her in the right direction, her visit highlighted key concerns in the NEMT space:

❌ No vehicle markings
❌ No badge or uniform for identification
❌ A HIPAA violation right on her screen
