Lion Elt Fadness’ wife Laurie contacted The Dalles Lions Club to see if we knew of a family in need of a couch. Word went out & we found a family in need & this morning, Lions Jim Wilcox, Rick Jones, Jim Bishop & Mike Kilkenny moved it. BYW it was a hideaway bed!! The Dalles Lions Club, We Serve!!

Today @ our weekly meeting we heard from Lion Jim Wilcox & his wife Lynn along with Lions Rich & Rose Mays about their recent Sister City trip to Japan, very interesting. We also handed out some awards.

Yesterday @ the weekly meeting of The Dalles Lions Club, President Ethan Wray handed out awards to members that were not present at the Annual Banquet in the Lions Shelter @ Sorosis Park.

Last night The Dalles Lions Club had our annual end of Lion's year Banquet. We inducted 2 new members, handed out awards and ate BBQ Burgers & Dogs along with potluck sides and deserts. The Banquet was held in the Lions Shelter @ Sorosis Park overlooking The Dalles and the Gorge.

We have two board positions that have become vacant due to members requesting their Lion’s Membership be dropped and their Board positions vacated.
To fill the Board of Directors vacancies we will have a Special Election on Tuesday July 9th at noon during our regular Membership meeting at Spooky’s.

Today our guest speaker @ The Dalles Lions Club was Jean Cyper of the Rowena Wildlife Center. She spoke of how the center operates & brought a Great Horned Owl named Loki. Loki had gotten hit by a car on Hwy 14 near Maryhill Museum, she is doing well now.
