Hello Loving Caregivers:

A reminder that if you choose to volunteer in any capacity at Bridges, the volunteer orientation is mandatory.

Our in-person volunteer orientation will be held in the Homeschool classroom from 1:30-2:30. Please bring your ID to scan, and leave enough time to register as a visitor.

Our session tonight at 5:30 will be held on zoom. Check your email for the zoom link and login info!

Bridges Got Talent is coming back!! 🎤✨

If your child wants to audition, have them head to the MPR on September 11th after school gets out!

Audition selections should be prepared but don't need to be memorized and should be kept to around a minute. (Final performances will be around 2.5 minutes.)

If you don’t like losing your kid's stuff…make sure to label EVERYTHING! 🙌🏼

If you've been around, you know our lost and found grows quickly throughout the year! Take some time to write your child's name on their lunchbox, clothing, water bottles, and other items they bring to school.

And if you want to take it a step further, is giving Bridges 20% of all purchases made by Bridges families who use her services for custom labels!

School is almost starting, and I want to ask you a favor…

Sit with your child for 5 minutes and explain that there’s never a reason to make fun of someone for their height, weight, skin tone, home life, or the things they enjoy.

Explain there’s nothing wrong with wearing the same shoes every day. Explain to them that a used backpack carries the same dreams as a new one. Teach them not to exclude anyone for "being different"

Explain to them that teasing hurts and that school is for LEARNING, NOT to compete or spread negativity. Remind them that some kids don’t go home to loving families, so it’s important to be kind.

It all starts at home!❤️

Learn about the way bullying and sexual and intimate partner violence affect LGBTQ+ Latinos & how to support our loved ones.

It is free to attend, and there will be resource tables, free food, an art show, music, swag, and fun!
