We will be closing North Park Avenue from 14th Street to 16th Street on Monday (08/12/24) from 8 a.m. - noon for utility work. Thank you for your patience.

We will be closing the north-bound lane of Forest Avenue from 8th to 10th Street on Thursday, August 8, from 8 a.m. - noon to complete some utility work.

WEATHER UPDATES:
*Monday’s council meeting will be rescheduled.
*Landfill is closed.

City offices will be closed Monday because of the potential for severe weather. The Fire Department, Police Department and Public Works will be working as needed for public safety.

Due to water maintenance repair on Davis Road, ESG has turned the water off to surrounding area. This water outage will affect Dogwood Lane and Pinewood Lane and possibly other customers in close proximity. We will have the water restored to customers as soon as possible.

Please be advised that Woodlawn between Poplar and 9th is now closed due to road maintenance.

We have to turn off the water service to customers in the Brookfield area while we repair a broken water main on US HWY 82 EAST. We will have water restored today, as soon as possible.

Tift Theatre for Performing Arts Historic Downtown Theatre

Due to parking, accessibility and the expressed interest from attendees, we are moving the Town hall location to the Tiftarea YMCA Events Center. We will also stream the meeting live here on Facebook.

Tyson Avenue. between 8th-12th Streets, will be closed until noon today for utility work.

Please be advised that MLK between South Central and Booker is now closed due to a water line installation.

Due to water maintenance repair, water will be off in the areas of 44th Street E, Carmichael Drive, and possibly the extended area. We will have the water restored as soon as possible.

The intersections of Tyson Avenue and Old Ocilla Road along with Tyson Avenue and Potts Road are currently closed for road maintenance.

Road closure: 12th Street between Ferry Lake and Pineview is now closed due to road maintenance.

Central Avenue, between 10th and 12th Streets, will be closed for an emergency water main repair.

Tift County’s flood risk information has been revised and updated flood hazard maps are ready for review. We ask our city residents to take the time to review the map for your area. 📃💦
