Thomas M Wernert Center
TMWC exists to offer hope and encouragement through the power of peer support to those who live with mental illness.
TMWC staff have a deep understanding of what members are going through and provide emotional support, education, and advocacy.
Do you love the Thomas M. Wernert Center? Are you invested in seeing TMWC grow and improve? Are you a member? If yes, you should consider joining our Board of Trustees!
We pride ourselves in our Board model which ensures our Board is made up of an equal number of TMWC members and community volunteers. This initiative serves to bolster member-board relations, give our members valuable leadership opportunities, and provide insights that only an active member could attest to.
Eligible members are invited to apply for Member Elected Trustee positions for 2025 through 2027. Board applications can be picked up at the TMWC front desk, and those interested must complete their application by 3:00 p.m. on Friday, September 13, 2024. Elections will be held at the Annual Meeting during Supper Club on Friday, November 22, 2024.
Our crops were ready for harvest!
This morning we snipped and plucked some herbs and veggies from our garden. Not only is gardening a therapeutic wellness activity, but TMWC gardening members are encouraged to take home what they grow and cook with fresh ingredients.
We were also visited by Patrick T. from Lucas Soil and Water Conservation District, who came prepared with some mealworms for Donna to try. Look at that clean plate!
Members who want to participate should attend Gardening Club at TMWC every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 9:15 a.m.. We hope to see you there!
