Since I was a little kid I told people that I want to be an artist when I grow up. To which people almost always responded with all the reasons why that’s not possible, except two people, my parents. Maybe they thought I’d grow out of it 😂 xoxoxo

In high school I use to collect (hoard) National Geographic magazines. Thanks to my high school art teacher who had an entire room full of them, it was the largest collection anyone has ever seen. He encouraged us to use them for inspiration and take what we wanted. Somehow more would always replenish the room 😆
It was pretty awesome to dive into the world of NG and discover, learn and create. I’ve held on to this borderline ancient watercolor painting for over 20 years, never quite convinced it was complete. Today I’ve decide that it is perfect. Thank you nostalgia ☺️

My rendition of the Archangel Michael. Painted shortly after I became a mother. In all honestly, I’m not one to pray and you will only find me at church for weddings and funerals. However after my son way born i was overcome with incredible gratitude and fear all at the same time. Almost every night I would thank God for my precious treasure and call on Archangel Michael to protect him.

Water based media is my favorite form of expression Blending washes and watching the water move is so cool. There are two artists at work, myself and water. I don’t try and control the water, I let it do it’s thing and work with it. I love the feeling of improvisation that comes with working with watercolors, it’s a truly unique painting experience.

I truly love sleeping! Dreaming, napping, daydreaming, creating art from my dreams, talking about dreams, reading about the science of sleep, watching my little ones sleep, taking pictures of my fury sister sleeping, buuuuuuut for some reason I’m so terrible at actually going to sleep. Biggest insomniac that know 🥱
