The only nurse that died in the OKC bombing 29 years ago today, Rebecca Anderson.

On April 19, 1995, the tragic Murrah Bombing took place in Oklahoma City. Among the victims was the sole nurse who also happened to be the only organ donor from that fateful day. Her act of selflessness resulted in saving three lives.

To commemorate her and honor her legacy, April 19 is designated as "Rebecca Anderson Day" by ONA. It's essential to note that April is Organ and Tissue Donor Awareness Month. Sharing this touching story can inspire more individuals to consider becoming donors.

Congratulations Dr. Loretta Ford! The first Nurse Practitioner! What a pioneer and trailblazer.

On Mar. 31, Dr. Loretta Ford was awarded the "Women in American History" distinction by the Columbine Chapter of the Colorado State Daughters of the American Revolution. Ford was presented with the award by Florida DAR member Barbara Byers, accompanied by AANP members Dr. Jean Aertker and Dr. Kim Curry. Congratulations, Dr. Ford!

Congratulations to Dr. Sandi Mellor on receiving a Distinguished Preceptor Award from Frontier Nursing University! Sandi has served as a course writer and Adjunct DNP faculty at ORU. Her years of expertise as a Family Nurse Practitioner helped educate our graduates.
