Most piano teachers will agree that word-of-mouth referrals are the best way to get more students.

Spend your summer months out and about, interacting with people in your community. Don't be pushy or needy, but show a genuine interest in getting to know people and sharing what you do.

As piano teachers, we usually piece together the perfect curriculum that draws from many wonderful resources.

The only problem is, it can be really hard to make sure every student is accessing all of the material we are using.

✅ Did your students ask to reschedule or make up lessons frequently?
✅ Was it difficult to communicate with or get responses from parents?
✅ Did your studio families value the time you put in to preparing for lessons?
