Happy Giving Tuesday, Tulsa! 🌟 Today is the perfect opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
This year, we're reaching out to you for support in contributing to the Hispanic American Foundation of Tulsa's Educational Scholarship program. We understand that the cost of college can be a significant hurdle for many students. That's why 75% of our Foundation's net revenue is dedicated to educational programs. It's worth noting that HAF Tulsa is powered by a fully volunteer Board of Directors, enabling us to direct the majority of our fundraising towards educational scholarships. In 2023, we awarded more than $60,000 to Tulsa area student scholarships.
Your donation plays a crucial role in shaping the future of Tulsa students, breaking down barriers to education. Rest assured, your support makes a substantial difference. Thank you for taking the time to consider making a positive impact today! 💙

This month marks the start of National Hispanic Heritage Month! The Hispanic American Foundation of Tulsa encourages you to continue embracing the rich tapestry of culture, celebrating strength, resilience, unity and heritage. 🌟🌎
HHM is celebrated annually from September 15 to October 15 because it encompasses the anniversaries of the independence of several Latin American countries, a few including Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Mexico, and Chile. National Hispanic Heritage Month is not limited to one nationality or ethnicity as it also recognizes the contributions of people with roots in Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, Central America, South America, and other Spanish-speaking nations.
Overall, National Hispanic Heritage Month is a meaningful celebration that recognizes the important contributions and diverse backgrounds of Hispanic and Latino Americans, while also encouraging a greater understanding of their history and culture. Let's continue to uplift and empower one another as we promote unity and success across all communities!
Save the date: Saturday, October 21, 2023
The Hispanic American Foundation of Tulsa invites you to join us for this year’s Gala Tropical, Together We Thrive. This year’s event is an island-inspired evening to celebrate the richness of Hispanic heritage and our broader community. The event will be held on Saturday, October 21 at River Spirit Casino Resort and features tropical cuisine, captivating performances and Latin music and dancing.
But Gala Tropical is more than just a celebration; it’s a vital opportunity to contribute to the Foundation’s mission. The event serves as the cornerstone of our annual fundraising efforts for the Foundation’s educational scholarships program. In May 2023, we proudly awarded $60,000 in scholarships to 16 deserving Tulsa area students.
We would love for our friends, followers and Tulsa area companies to join us in sponsoring a Gala table. You’ll not only enjoy a fantastic night of networking and cultural appreciation, you’ll play a significant role in shaping the educational future of our community’s youth.
