Raintree Village is Hiring Behavioral Specialist (x2)

Job Description

Under general supervision, a behavioral specialist provides one-on-one behavioral interventions with children and youth who are receiving specialty mental health services, in the client’s home/residential placement/school or during community outings. The behavioral specialist will perform related work as assigned. It will be your responsibility to create an activities calendar and host events from the activity calendar for the youth.

Examples of Duties & Responsibilities

Behavioral specialist provides one on one direct behavioral intervention with children/youth, serves as a positive role model for the child/youth, provides time-structuring activities, provides immediate behavioral reinforcements, provides appropriate time-out strategies, develops behavioral treatment plans with input of treatment team, collaboration with and support for the family caregivers’ efforts to provide a positive environment for the child/youth, assists the child/youth to engage in, or remain engaged in, appropriate activities and helps to minimize the child/youth’s impulsive behavior.

Desirable Education and Experience:

It’s desired for an applicant to have an associate degree in social work or related field and experience in direct service with children/youth.

Requirements:

You must be able to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings, weekends, and early mornings. You must be able to obtain criminal history fingerprint clearance prior to employment. You must be able to see and hear within normal range with or without correction. You must be physically mobile. You must have access to a telephone. You must possess a valid driver’s license, current automobile insurance including a minimum, and a vehicle for work.

Raintree Village is partnering with Hog-N-Bones here in Valdosta to support our mission in serving our amazing foster children. We are wanting to give the children in our care a great Christmas experience. We are asking for the support of our local community members to make this possible. A donation of $35 gets you a ticket to take over to the local Hog-N-Bones store to receive one of their delicious Boston Butts and a bottle of sauce from their very tasty selection. We love Called to Care of Lowndes and Echols County and are always so thankful for their support!

The mission of Called to Care is to equip the body of Christ to support children, families, and workers by ministering through adoption, foster care, and missions.

Last night we were able to bring several agencies together with the community to show the needs in the foster community in Lowndes.

Raintree Village has an abundance of "Dairy Boxes" with items such as milk, cheese, and assorted meats that we would like to share with our community! These boxes are FREE and available first come first serve beginning after 2:00PM today, Monday, April 5, 2021! We will not be able to hold any boxes and they are pick up only. Boxes will be available until 5:00PM today, and depending on availability tomorrow morning beginning at 8:00AM. We will post an update at the end of business today!

To pick up, come to our front office at 3757 Johnston Rd (directly across from the GCS Football field) and we will show you to where they are stored.
