S Royle Road in Ridgefield will be CLOSED today from Legacy Trails Apartments to S 15th Street/Wells Drive due to completing a paving project on Royle Road. See detour information below. Clients will still have access to the ATM at our Ridgefield branch. To view traffic updates and sign up for email alerts, visit: https://ridgefieldwa.us/220/Road-Construction-Traffic-Impacts

Traffic Update: S Royle Road will be closed from Legacy Trails apartments to S 15th Street/Wells Drive on Saturday, August 10 from 7 AM to 5 PM. Use detour route. The roundabout at S Royle Road and S 15th Street/Wells Drive will remain open.

This closure is necessary to complete paving for the top lift of asphalt for Phase 2 of Royle Road Corridor Improvements. By allowing the contractor to have full access to the site via a complete road closure, the contractor may stage equipment without disturbing the previously completed work. It will also increase the quality of the overall top lift of paving.

- Detour: A detour will be in place on Pioneer Street to S 56th Place, S 6th Way, Timm Road, and S 11th Street/Wells Drive.
- Access to the Cloverhill neighborhood will be provided at the intersection of S 15th Street/S 43rd Ave.

In May, Riverview client, Anna Nutter, turned 101 years old—the same age as Riverview Bank! Not only is Anna the same age as the bank, her birthday is the same month as Riverview’s anniversary.

In the early 1940s, Anna lived on the east coast. Her husband and brother-in-law had ventured to Washington State for work. After some time, they sent Anna and her sister money for a train ticket so they could join them. With her 6-month-old child in tow, Anna embarked on an unforgettable journey across the country.

They rode the train alongside military men, a common practice at the time. Anna recalls using a unique bank—a gentleman’s home that served as the banking hub. They’d bring their money directly to him. Shortly after arriving to Washington, Anna opened her account with Riverview in Hazel Dell. Anna still banks at the Hazel Dell and Battle Ground branches. She has remained loyal to Riverview for more than 80 years because of the “exceptional customer service.” She knows many employees by name, and it’s that small-town, personal touch that keeps her banking with Riverview.

Riverview values clients like Anna. Her story is a perfect match for our mission, vision, and values It’s about you.

Celebrating 35 years at Riverview Bank. Riverview is 101 years old and we talk about that often. Think about the fact that Wendy has worked for the bank for 1/3 of its 100 years. She has experienced the bank evolve and change and has been instrumental in the bank’s success. She leads the accounting team and adds so much to our cultural life as well. Saying thank you for her service seems small in comparison to her contributions.
