I know today is Halloween. But it's also the day Martin Luther nailed his 95 theses to a church door and sparked the Protestant Reformation. So, you could say we celebrate Halloween by dressing like the ghouls and monsters of the early church. Placating them with indulgences of candy. I mean, it's all about perception!! 🤣🤣 #

Remember tonight is the Woodford County Spooktacular! Events start at 4 downtown and run til around 7:30/8. Trunk or treat, inflatables, costume contests, Thriller parade, even a headless horseman will ride through Main Street. There will be street closures. Because of all the festivities, getting to church tonight would be near impossible!! So we joined in!!

You are welcome to come fellowship as we give out Boo Bags. We will start around 4:30, and just go until we run out! Otherwise, we encourage you to experience one of the joys of being a small town. Seeing your neighbors all gathering and supporting a holiday that doesn't have to be dark and demonic. What we do here, is strive to bring smiles to children and create connections with our friends and neighbors. And eat candy. What's evil about that? Every day belongs to God. We can ignore that, and give it to the devil. Or we can remember that and take back what the enemy stole!

Good afternoon, Woodford County! We're getting close to the start of the 2024/2025 Warming Station season! To be a volunteer you must attend a volunteer training meeting. We've hosted 4, and this Friday makes the 5th this year. These meetings educate you on rules and procedures, get you familiar with the facilities, and teach you safety protocols in place. Waivers and contact information are also exchanged. Even if you can't volunteer, we encourage you to come and be informed on all things Station related so you can be a voice for what we do in the community! Next meeting:

I'm sitting in my kitchen, all by myself. I'm playing through all the slides for worship and tonight's message. Just to be sure everything is spelled right and that worship videos play through.

As the worship played, I found myself with hands raised, tears streaming in honest authentic worship to my King. The one who has my heart. The one who is faithful when I am not. The one who is kind when I am not. The one who chooses to abide in worship.

It is an odd thing to be completely broken open while simultaneously being completely safe and loved. The barren, neediness of my soul crashing into the full glory of the King leaves me without adequate language to convey.

I will offer you this: Join us for services at 6:30 tonight. I can't offer you live bands and fancy sermons. But I can help you get to that same place in your kitchen. You won't need the hype of a live band to rocket your soul into worship. You won't need the show or the entertainment. If you are longing for AUTHENTIC, hopelessly flawed, but radically called ministry - let us introduce ourselves!

**UPDATE: We have received $165 as of this morning (10/15/24)**

Good evening, friends! We have a special request tonight. We've been in contact with a recovering couple. She has been sober for 2 years and he has been sober for a year and a half. We have spoken with his sponsor. Their family has been very supportive through their journey to sobriety. But, they now have a need that family simply can't help. Can we?

They are in the process of getting their own place. Their application got approved, and they have been saving. They have enough money for rent, utility deposits, etc. However, they don't have the required deposit of $650. Family/friends are helping with furniture and home decor, linens, etc. While deep in addiction they lost custody of their kids. However, if they can prove they are on their own and sober, they will get their kids for a trial run in November. If that goes well, they could have custody of their kids by Christmas!!

This $650 deposit is all that's standing between a family becoming whole again. We have only reached out for help one other time on our page, and we've been here on Facebook since 2017. If you feel led and are able to chip in, we could make Christmas really special for this family. Whatever you give is tax deductible, just let us know if you need a statement. You keep saying you need friends. You need your own tribe, sisterhood, or whatever. We're right here.

You keep saying you really need to get more involved in your community. You want to see solutions and not just complaints.

You keep saying there has to be more than the everyday grind. Where is the joy? And why can't you find it?

It's all right here at Living Grace. We have plenty of room, and plenty of welcome. We're a strong family of believers who support each other in words and deeds. We actively respond to the needs of the community around us by attending City Council meetings, Fiscal Court meetings and providing ministries to the hungry, the homeless, and the less fortunate. We embrace a higher call. We know life isn't fully lived if it's deviod of laughter, love, and fellowship.
