Come to the theater Monday, August 26 at 6:00pm for open auditions and informational meeting in our lobby. On Wednesday, August 28 and Thursday, August 29 at 6:00pm we have auditions for The 39 Steps.
Smooth Sailing is a story of a dinner boat cruise that desperately needs to find more customers, the crazy cast of characters comes up with a Karaoke R***e Cabaret to save this sinking business! We are looking for males and females ages 20 years and up. Some of the characters can be speaking only while others are both speaking and singing. Strong physical comedy and improv skills are needed. 🚢⚓️🎤🎙️🎵

Virtual auditions are still be accepted until Saturday, August 24 for Smooth Sailing, which will run October 4, 5, and 6. This is a musical comedy karaoke r***e. While the show structure is set, the script is almost entirely improv where you will get to choose several of your own songs and then join in the grand finale medley. The story of a dinner boat cruise that desperately needs to find more customers, the crazy cast of characters comes up with a Karaoke R***e Cabaret to save this sinking business! We are looking for males and females ages 20 years and up. Some of the characters can be speaking only. Strong physical comedy and improv skills are needed. July 27 is a big date for our theater. First at 6:00pm we will have our annual members meeting. We will serve beer, wine, and appetizers as you hear about what’s coming up at the theater and vote on the board of directors this coming year. Then at 7:00pm, we will have our next Open Mic night. Cover charge is $10 and we will have drinks and snacks for sale. 🍷🍻🍿💦🎤

Congratulations to our friend, Rosalinda Alexander who was named the Arts Consortium 2024 -2025 Artist of the Year! This is a well deserved recognition for someone who is passionate about the arts as Rosalinda is. We are so proud of you!!
Congratulations to our 2024-2025 Artist of the Year: Rosalinda Verde Alexander!
Rosalinda (Rosalinda Alexander) been an example of excellence in performance art, community engagement, and arts advocacy for most of her life. She has been an active supporter, member, volunteer, and advocate for the Arts Consortium.
Rosalinda has performed locally and regionally with her band the PIMS (Rosalinda and the PIMS); she has been the creator and director of the Visalia Opera Company and now Green Rose Productions (Green Rose Productions). For the last 10 years she has been writing original play productions with the special needs community; first with The Creative Center and now with her team at the Green Rose Productions. Most recently Rosalinda created online videos for children during COVID and even engaged local youth in the production of these fantastical videos. She has recently produced the very successful Revenge of the Sea Witch, an original musical production written by the Green Rose Production team. She continues to inspire local artists to pursue their own creative visions.
Furthermore, Rosalinda has turned her advocacy into action as new Executive Director of the Tulare Kings Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (Tulare Kings Hispanic Chamber of Commerce), where she is working to ensure that the arts are included and celebrated in that organization's many cultural activities.
