This position will help to oversee workforce development programs, provide technical assistance to subrecipients and partners, and manage grant programs and reports.
- Ability to compile, analyze, and interpret data to formulate recommendations and ensure compliance with complex regulations.
-Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare effective and concise correspondence and reports.
- Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with various individuals, groups, and organizations.

According to the Employment Development Department, from June 2023 to June 2024, Educational & Health Services showed the greatest year-over numerical gain with an increase of 1,600 jobs, while Arts, Entertainment & Recreation showed the greatest percent gain with job growth of 8.3 percent. Retail Trade and Local Government (All Other) showed the greatest year-over numerical decrease with losses of 400 jobs in each sector, while Local Government (All Other) showed the greatest percent decrease with losses of 4.3%.

The California Employment Development Department (EDD) reported a 0.2 percent increase in Tulare County's unemployment rate, from a revised 9.8 percent in June 2023 to 10.0 percent in June 2024.
From May to June of 2024, the unemployment rate in Tulare County increased by 0.6 percent, greater than the average month-over-month increase of 0.4 percent.

The California Employment Development Department recently released the June 2024 labor market data.
Here are a few highlights for Tulare County:
• From June 2023 to June 2024, the unemployment rate in Tulare County increased by 0.2 percent.
• From June 2023 to June 2024, the labor force showed no change overall, while employment decreased by 400.
• In June 2024, Non-Durable Manufacturing, Education and Health Services, Arts, Entertainment & Recreation, Accommodation, and Food Services & Drinking Places reached record-high employment levels.

Today our team enjoyed attending the Visalia Economic Development Corporation Annual Meeting. It was great to see everyone and to hear about the great work that the VEDC is doing to help businesses thrive in Visalia.
This week our team was presented with the 2024 NAF Trailblazer Champion award by the Cutler-Orosi Joint Unified School District Career Technical Education Department. For many years our team has worked with the CTE department to provide support and resources to students pursuing a CTE pathway in high school.
We want to thank for the recognition.
