They all did a phenomenal job!

The fair is officially underway! All market animals weighed in earlier this morning and students are now competing in Livestock Judging!
This is it! Fair officially kicks off this week. Today we setup pens in the goat barn, steer barn, sheep barn, pig barn, small animal barn, and put up displays in the education building and pavilion! Great work today

Last night wrapped up day two of the 2024-2025 Officer Retreat! So far our officer team has learned all about what it means to be a leader, how to take accountability, and created goals for the upcoming year! Some activities have included Build A Leader, Leadership Skits, Accountability Circle, and Brainstorm for the Future. Today, we look forward to planning events and meetings for this school year!

We are looking forward to seeing six of our senior FFA members earn the Washington FFA Degree. These members have multiple years of active membership, shown their leadership with community service and have maintained supervised agriculture experience projects. We are so proud of these students ❤️
Day 1 State Convention Update! It was a busy day on Thursday for many of our 26 students attending convention!
Our Ag Issues team presented their issue “The Right to Repair” and saved their best presentation for the State competition. Unfortunately, they did not get to move forward but they represented our Walla Walla community extremely well! Proud of you Parker, Kylie, Breanna, Natalie, and Tazie!
Our two First Year Member teams also competed yesterday morning and Walla Walla 1 made it into the Top 8! We will find out where they placed on stage tonight!
Last night, our pre-convention CDE accolades were also presented and showed off for the stage including Ag Mechanics and top 10 individual Treyton, Horse Judging and top 10 individual Hanna, and our Livestock Judging top 10 individual Jaycee! Way to represent our school!!
We also got to see one of our retiring state FFA officers give her retiring address including some of her families Walla Walla FFA jackets- to say the least it was cool to see a jacket from the 1940s! Such amazing history of our chapter!!!

Our FFA members are everywhere, doing great things! Here is an awesome photo of Jaycee Cox and her prospect steer at the Spokane Junior Show! Jaycee’s steer was the champion prospect steer of the show and she earned 4th place overall showman⭐️ Way to go Jaycee!
Yesterday this group of students competed in the Washington FFA State Livestock Judging Career Development Event held at the Spokane Junior Livestock Show. Their hard work this spring paid off with their team placing tenth out of 38 teams! Jaycee Cox showed her skills and placed fourth individually! Way to go ladies!
Fun day at a practice livestock judging contest at the Central Washington Junior Livestock Show in Toppen*sh! Our team is prepared to take on the Washington FFA State CDE on Wednesday in Spokane!
Let the countdown begin! Our FFA plant sale is this Thursday, May 2nd from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Hanging baskets and metalwork from Mrs. Johnson’s welding students will join the “for sale items” along with the flowering plants in 4” pots. Hope to see you there!

Today this talented team placed ⭐️second⭐️ at the Washington FFA State Horse Judging CDE! Congratulations to Alexis Jones, Madison Worden, Hanna Wright (who placed eighth out of 125 contestants today) Teegan Timmons, Ellie Ford, and Makenna Wright! All those 7:00 AM Tuesday practices paid off 😎

Yesterday, 4 students competed at the Washington FFA State Agriscience Fair during the State Spring Fair in Puyallup. Freshmen Amanda Tilley and Makenna Wright presented their research on the effects of moisture on hay nutrition. Sophomores Ellie Strickland and Anneliese Triebwasser presented their findings on the impact of school farms on students.
Congratulations to Amanda and Makenna for placing first at state in their division! They will be submitting their project for Nationals consideration! They will also be recognized at state convention in May.
Another congratulations to Ellie and Anneliese for placing second in state in their division. They will be recognized at state convention next month!
The FFA Plant Sale will be 8 am to 5 pm on May 2nd in front of the vocational building on Abbott Road.
There is a pre-sale going on right until April 30th. The link is posted below and you may sign up by clicking on the “Guest Account” button. Pre-sale orders may be picked up Wednesday afternoons between 2:30-4.
The in-person plant sale will feature many annuals, hanging baskets and garden/lawn items made by Mrs. Johnson’s welding students. Hope to see you there!

You know who’s awesome???? Our Vet Science Team and First Year Member Teams!!! Our teams traveled the long distance to Waitsburg this morning and all their studying and practicing paid off!!!
Vet Science completed the ID, math, and written tests in addition to their handling and clinical practicums. Well done to Hanna, Brintel, Raegan, Mandy, and Mahaela for placing 4th and big shout out to Hanna for placing 6th Individual!
Our two First Year Member teams consisting of all freshman rocked their team test and team presentation of building a garden. Team 1- Kinzey, Aaden, Sloane, and Peyton- placed 2nd and Team 2- Makenna, Ellie, Aubrey, and Kaiya- placed 1st!!!!
Way to go Blue Devils!!!!
Congratulations to our Ag Mechanics team for placing 8th out of 25 teams at yesterdays state contest! Treyton Sams was the high placing individual of the team, placing 7th overall. Thank you to the Perry Technical Institute staff for hosting a fun and challenging event, the Washington FFA Foundation for providing lunch for FFA members and the WSU Ag Ed students for their efforts facilitating the contest.
