I first met this remarkable young man in tenth grade. Since then, Fred has literally taken no days off to become the first male in his extended family and the first male in his high school class to finish college. He has the admiration and respect of his peers, who helped celebrate with us. Onward and upward, Fred!

Although no one could attend her ceremony, I also wanted to give special recognition to Qwéén Neke , AKA Deranique Graydon, for graduating from UDC this month. Neke has been a refugee and worked her way through college without FAFSA. She has graduated cm laude with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration.
