“During the June 30, 2024 quarter, the GW Investment Institute (GWII) hosted five industry professionals across two finance classes. The semester culminated in 17 stock pitches, five startup idea presentations, and the conclusion of the first semester of the Quantitative investment project. Ten students were awarded GW Ramsey Scholars awards, three received the GWII Stock Pitch Awards brought to by the Charles Schwab Foundation, and three were recognized with GWII Leadership Awards for a total of $57,250 awarded. A quarter highlight was the NYC Alumni Reception, which successfully brought together over 30 alumni. Haya Adnan, a GWSB senior graduating in December 2024 with a major in Business, wrote the following commentary.”

Sandy is a Junior majoring in Finance with a focus on Information System and Technology Management. In her investment course at GW, Sandy's diving into the Technology and Telecommunication sector. We’re proud to have her on our team!

She's studying Applied Mathematics and Finance at GW where she also helps manage a $2.7 million fund in GW's endowment. Beyond the classroom, Elizabeth serves as Vice President of Beta Alpha Psi, Secretary for the sailing team, and is a former VP of Sigma Delta Tau.

📚🧑‍🏫📊 This fall semester, the GW Investment Institute is offering an exciting selection of classes in finance:

👉 Applied Financial Securities Analysis: This class is for undergraduate students and is associated with the GW Phillips SIF with over $2.7 million in Assets Under Management (AUM). We have two sections of this class — one led by Prof. and one by Prof. Christine Song.

👉 Investing in Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs): This class is also for undergraduate students and is taught by Prof. . Students in this class manage GW Real Estate SIF with over $145,000 in AUM.

In summary, this fall semester, we are hosting 3️⃣ classes, 2️⃣ SIFs, 4️⃣5️⃣+ students and over $2.8 million in AUM!
