Estuvieron en este grandioso panel, hablandó sobre cómo Partners ha trabajado incansablemente para fortalecer los lazos de cooperación entre los países del continente americano. They were on this great panel, discussing how Partners has worked tirelessly to strengthen the bonds of cooperation among the countries of the Americas. Throughout our history, we have expanded our reach beyond Latin America and the Caribbean, extending our presence to Asia and Africa. Today, we excel in three key technical areas: education, labor issues, agriculture, and food security.

We not only celebrate the legacy of the Alliance for Progress, but we also explore how Partners of the Americas is contributing to sustainable development and capacity building in Colombia, adapting to contemporary challenges with creative and effective solutions.

Partners of the Americas celebrates its 60th anniversary this year, inspired by President Kennedy's Alliance for Progress. For six decades, we have cultivated a close and productive relationship with Colombia, collaborating with local communities, NGOs, the private sector, and government entities to promote sustainable development and social and economic well-being.

We have implemented programs in agriculture, education, youth, workforce development, and microfinance, in collaboration with the U.S. government through agencies such as USAID, the Department of Agriculture, the Department of State, and the Department of Labor.

Today, we recognize the importance of private social investment as a driver of positive change. We position ourselves as a strategic partner for the Colombian private sector, offering our experience and networks to strengthen local capacities, foster social and economic inclusion, and promote sustainable development.

Meet Edin Davila Burga from Piura, Peru. Thanks to the partnership between Universidad de Piura in Peru and Towson University in Maryland, U.S. in 2017, Edin’s journey included learnings and achievements.

At Towson University, he embraced cultural diversity, overcame communication fears, and committed to environmental protection, forming lasting friendships and reaffirming his passion for nature conservation, especially in water management.

AgroJusto met with stakeholders from the banana and flower sectors in Quito to discuss the project's vision and strategy. We are grateful for the wide support from the public sector, private sector, and civil society in creating a more just and equitable agricultural sector in Ecuador. 🌼🍌

Through our AgroJusto project, funded by the U.S. Department of Labor, we are working with key stakeholders to combat child labor and forced labor, and increase worker knowledge of their rights. 💪
