Earlier this year, the NCAC chapter hosted a Winter Gala in partnership with the Austrian Embassy. The event featured speeches by Ambassador Petra Schneebaur and guests enjoyed appetizers while networking and listening to jazz music.

On June 2nd, the Chicago chapter held an event to showcase artwork of Chicago area Fulbright alumni. This was followed by a jazz performance by the Roy McGrath quartet!

Last April, the San Diego Chapter hosted an Early Career Alumni Re-Engagement Mixer to welcome recently returned students and faculty to the chapter. The event involved opportunities for attendees to get to know each other as well as presentations!

Last February, the Mid-Florida Chapter went on a museum tour where attendees had an opportunity to learn about two American art icons and to explore the social constructs in the period leading up to World War II and the post – war culture in the US!

University of Tennessee, Knoxville alumni and friends are hosting a reunion in Tokyo, Japan on Sunday Aug. 18th. On June 1st, the Minnesota Chapter went on a tour of the Mayowood Historic Home in Rochester and the Minnesota Marine Art Museum in Winona (MMAM). During both tours, tour guides provided an in-depth and engaging experience, offering rich insights into the history and significance of the Mayowood mansion and the Mayo family and the collections exhibited in MMAM!

Earlier this month, the Western Washington chapter went on a tour of the Seattle Asian Art Museum (SAAM). On the tour, attendees had the opportunity to learn about the history of the building and of the art collections stored within it!

On June 10th, the Northern California chapter hosted a Young Alumni Garden Party Event! Alumni and friends of the Fulbright program were able to connect through collaborative networking, sharing of stories amongst attendees, and coming up with ideas about future events for Young Alumni.

Last Month, the NCAC Chapter along with partners sponsored a panel discussion on women in leadership. Panelists discussed how they achieved their goals and what shaped their career paths!

In late April, the Central New York chapter hosted a service event for Ithaca celebrating Earth Day. Attendees worked really hard—climbing into undergrowth, reaching into waterways to collect 4 large trash bags for collection by the city’s earth day crew. This was followed by food and community afterwards at Purity Ice Cream!

On April 5th, the Georgia chapter hosted a Young Alumni event at Top Golf. Many alumni who had never attended a chapter event had the chance to network and connect with the Georgia Chapter and displayed their interest in supporting us in future events!

On May 11th, the Minnesota Chapter went on tour of The Museum of Russian Art where Fulbrighters became acquainted with a little-known Minnesota museum that is a cultural jewel. Attendees were able to get more perspectives on lives in the Soviet Union, Russia and Ukraine, before and during the current war there!

On May 11th, the Colorado chapter held an event in which Fulbrighters and friends met at the Global Village of Culture and Arts in Fort Collins. Attendees toured the museum with a guide, and observed artisanal collections from around the world!

Last month, the Minnesota chapter held a book release reception for Dr. Menah Pratt’s book "Blackwildgirl: A Writer’s Journey to Take Back Her Superpower”! Dr. Pratt read several excerpts from and discussions were followed by a robust Q&A session along with a final book signing by the author.

Last Month, the Central New York chapter's young alumni participated in the annual Syracuse Earth Day Clean Up. A group of 9 people met at the Erie Canal Museum and spent 2-3 hours weeding and cleaning up the outside gardens in preparation for the spring planting season!
