Chilli peppers 🌶️ is among the most expensive vegetables in The Gambia 🇬🇲. Smallholder farmers especially women earn a lot of income through the cultivation of chilli peppers 🌶️.

It is an export crop for commercial farmers and also gives foreign exchange earnings to our beloved country.

Strengthening the value chain of this crop cannot come at a much better time, as the project is very important to farmers. - Tom Senghore, Horticulture Specialist, National Research Institute (NARI).
