Did you know the Endangered Species portfolio by Andy Warhol was commissioned to fundraise for conservation efforts? Preceding this portfolio was the Endangered Species Act of 1973, which defined endangered species as a humanitarian issue, included a ban on trade involving such animals, and made efforts for the protection of original habitats.

Bighorn Ram is an original screen print on Lenox Museum Board and is hand signed in pencil. This stunning piece is on its way to a happy client!

“I want to die with my blue jeans on” -Andy Warhol

Even ardent fans of American artist Andy Warhol aren’t likely aware that the Pop icon loved the Wild West. He owned five pairs of Lucchese cowboy boots (some splattered with paint from his studio) and wore them frequently.

Andy Warhol regulars traveled to New Mexico, Texas and Colorado, where he acquired some of his vast personal collection of western art.

Andy Warhol’s western influences culminated in the last major project before his death – the 1986 series Cowboys and Indians. The iconic Western subjects include General Custer, Geronimo, Annie Oakley, and John Wayne.

If you are interested in learning more about General Custer, or purchasing this piece, DM the gallery!

This wonderful new Derrick Adams release just arrived in the gallery!

A multidisciplinary artist based in Brooklyn, NY, Adams grew up in Baltimore, surrounded by a nurturing family that appreciated art. What stands out about his work is his modernist influence and interest in collage and layering. 🎨

All of this culminates in this piece, Silver Lining, in which you can see and feel the movement while experiencing the textures, vibrance, and colors of music and fashion.

Visit our website (link in bio) to see what other pieces of his are available or sign up for our newsletter.
