The Bridge Project is working on connecting individuals from across the political spectrum to achieve immigration reform that is sensible and workable for all.
Washington, D.C. There is a lack of sound information and critical thought reaching political leaders who are silent and/or unexposed to the broken immigration system. Too often we hear Republicans being blamed and demonized for the lack of immigration reform. It is common knowledge, however, that both parties for far too long have let the status quo undermine our national interests, and have turn

“They got brought here at a very young age, they’ve worked here, they’ve gone to school here. Some were good students. Some have wonderful jobs. And they’re in never-never land because they don’t know what’s going to happen,” Donald J. Trump told Time magazine this month. "We’re going to work something out that’s going to make people happy and proud.”
Trump once welcomed a visit from immigrant 'Dreamers.' Now, they anxiously await his next move Gaby Pacheco strode into Trump Tower’s gilded lobby on a mission to convince the businessman to back immigration reform and help young people like her who were brought to the U.S. illegally as children.

Trump told Time Magazine. “They got brought here at a very young age, they’ve worked here, they’ve gone to school here. Some were good students. Some have wonderful jobs. Important message by our friends at TheDream.US
Dear Friends,
President Obama’s recent announcement changes the lives of millions of people.
Approximately 300,000 additional young adults will be eligible for temporary relief from deportation and a work permit. Many of these young people want nothing more than to get a college education, join the U.S. workforce, and support their family and community.
But one thing will stop them short. And that is their inability to access federal and state aid to help them afford a college education.
This is where YOU come in. By giving to TheDream.US you enable us to provide scholarships for DREAMers. And while we know that no one scholarship program can begin to fulfill the need, we also know that, by providing even one student with the opportunity to get a college education, we can and will impact not only that student’s life but the lives of that student’s family and friends and, in doing so, we will help build the economic and social prosperity of this nation.
This is why we made a commitment to “build the American Dream one student at a time.”
We welcome this challenge and ask you to help us send more motivated and eager DREAMers to college.
Here are three ways you can help:
1- Give to our Indiegogo Campaign and share our link
2- Get the word out about our scholarship program. Like us on FB, Twitter
3- Share this message on social media

"The president also could expand his controversial 2012 program aimed at stopping the deportation of many young immigrants brought to the United States as children, the panel of law professors and other legal experts said during a telephone news conference.
That program -- DACA -- could be broadened to include the parents and other relatives of those young immigrants, said Cristina Rodriguez, a professor at Yale Law School and a former U.S. Justice Department attorney."

President Barack Obama soon after Labor Day is expected to announce executive actions to refine deportation priorities and to potentially expand a program that gives safe harbor and work permits to qualifying illegal immigrants. But the White House also is reviewing actions on issues that are priorities for businesses, according to administration and other officials, an effort that has received less notice. Businesses are mostly concerned with legal-immigration policy.
Obama weighs business-friendly immigration actions. The White House is considering changes to immigration policy aimed at helping businesses, part of a broad review of procedures that also is likely to provide new protections for people now in the country illegally.

"We don’t know the details. Mr. Obama and the Department of Homeland Security have not yet supplied the who, what, when or even, officially, whether. But Mr. Obama has promised to respond to Congress’s refusal to act on immigration reform. And the most obvious thing is to lift the threat of deportation from immigrants who should be the lowest priority for removal: those with citizen children, jobs, clean records and strong community ties. Some reports put the size of that group at four million to five million.
In truth, Mr. Obama is well within his authority to madden the right. His power to conduct immigration policy is vast. Congress has given the president broad flexibility and discretion to enforce immigration law. It has also given him the resources to deport about 350,000 to 400,000 people a year, as Mr. Obama has done, relentlessly."
Mr. Obama, Your Move Since Congress refused to act on immigration reform, it is the president’s duty to use his executive authority to protect unauthorized immigrants from deportation.
"Sources familiar with the matter told CNN that one potential option would expand the deferred deportation program of 2012 for so-called DREAMers -- children brought to America illegally by their families.
Other possible steps include granting some kind of legal status to the foreign parents of U.S. citizens, and allowing some undocumented immigrants to apply for temporary work permits, the sources said."
