NAA members have significant ambitions that will help us reach carbon neutrality by 2050.

Corporate member Rolls-Royce plc has successfully completed compatibility testing of 100% Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) on all its in-production civil aero engine types.

These compatible SAF engines power other members' planes, including Bombardier Global 5500 & 6500 and Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation G700 & 800.

Testing has involved a variety of ground and flight tests to replicate in-service conditions. All the tests confirmed the use of 100% SAF does not affect engine performance.

Yesterday, November 21st, marked 240 years of untethered human flight in a hot air balloon. Jean-François Pilâtre de Rozier and François Laurent, Marquis d’Arlandes, first flew aloft for 5.6 miles over 25 minutes at 3000 feet in 1783.🔥

Last month, the 66th Coupe Aeronautique Gordon Bennett took place. The winners, Eric Decellières and Benoît Havret, stayed aloft for 1,653 miles over 3.5 days, reaching an altitude of over 15000 feet! They covered a distance from Albuquerque, New Mexico to Jacksonville, North Carolina.

The USA sent 3 teams who flew amazingly!
Noah Forden & Brenda Cowlishaw flew 1,382 miles in 65.5 hours.
Barbara Fricke & Peter Cuneo flew 1,209 miles in 66 hours.
Mark Sullivan & Cheri White flew 908 miles in 57 hours.

Embracing progress, breaking barriers, and rewriting the limits – here's to celebrating how far we've come! 🌟
