We may not be called to be preachers or missionaries, but wherever God calls us to serve, by His Spirit working in us, may we fully surrender to Him. - ODB

TOMORROW! "Yes We Can Youth Service Program" this Saturday, Sept. 16th at 9am at the East Washington Heights Baptist Church, DC. The purpose of the program is to teach youth in our church and in the community about service by having them serve senior citizens by working in their yards. Participating youth (in high school) will receive a $40 stipend for participating in the program. They can also receive volunteer credits in lieu of the stipend. There will also be a special presentation given by Dr. Judy Walton on how to prepare for success in the new school year.

Here's what we need you to do:

1. Pray for the success of the program
2. Invite youth (high schoolers) in your house or in your family to participate in the program
3. If you're a senior citizen and you need some yard work done, then let the church know
4. If you can volunteer to help out with the program, then please do so!
Contact Pastor Kip Banks at [email protected] or at 301-520-6223 if you'd like to participate in the program or if you have any questions.
