When Winemaker Davide Di Paolo tasted Filomena's Pappardelle Ragu he was stunned! He told us he felt he was back at his Nonna's dining table in the Abruzzo Region of Italy. What an amazing compliment for Filomena!

Actually, JoAnna Filomena's Nonna is from that very same region in Italy, and it is heartwarming to think that Davide's Nonna and JoAnna's Nonna used the exact same recipe almost a century later. Filomena's menu reflects many recipes from the Abruzzo Region.

Filomena has always resisted the temptations and excitement of change and steadfastly continues the old-world style recipes passed down through many Nonna's and many generations of stove top to tabletop cooking (we even still make pasta from scratch by hand) When we hear we have been that successful in the transition from an Italian dining table to a Filomena dining table......Well this news for us is better than winning the lottery!!
