This week’s features our yoga instructor Laura Trejo. Laura is a 500-hour Yoga Alliance registered teacher trained in vinyasa yoga with prenatal and toddler training certificates. In addition, she studied at the Kripalu Center with Nischala Joy Devi for a Yoga of the Heart certificate to learn to adapt yoga practices to the special needs of people living with heart disease, cancer, and other health challenges.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​⁣​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

In addition, Laura is a NASM-certified personal trainer with a Corrective Exercise certificate, a black belt in tae kwon do, barre/mat and reformer training certificates, and a Center for Integrative Medicine trained reiki practitioner.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

In her yoga class, Laura addresses muscle imbalances so that her students can gain strength where their muscles are weak and flexibility where their muscles are tight.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

As a bonus, Laura intends that her yoga students will experience the best night’s sleep of their lives as she cultivates calm minds and hearts in her students through relaxing music, essential oils, and breathing exercises.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Laura teaches on Sundays at 10a, Mondays at 6pm, and Tuesdays at 7:45pm.

MINT's 6th Annual Power Playground 08/15/2024

We're officially one month away from our 6th annual outdoor power playground event! This is a FREE HIIT workout at Marie Reed Field. Leading the class is our all-star instructor, Braegan Padley, with assistance from Myke Nicholson - trust us, you'll want to make sure that you've packed your water bottle. Our trademark Power Playground class focuses on a balance of strength and cardio, leaving you exhausted and empowered!

This week’s features MINT instructor Molly Heinsler. Molly is a long-time yogi who has been practicing seriously since 2008 and began teaching yoga in 2013. She started by offering yoga classes to children in schools, then later earned her RYT-200 and began teaching adults. She’s spent the past decade teaching at MINT and other gyms and studios in DC.​​​​​​​​​

Each class features a creative flow to help build strength and flexibility set to a carefully curated soundtrack. Molly’s goal is to share the physical and mental benefits of practicing yoga with everyone who takes her class.
