I am super proud of these ladies and how well they did at the Mayo RT Challenge. They were in the final 4 of the Sputum Bowl and the final 2 of the Apollo Challenge. After over an hour, and a photo finish, the Lung and the Breathless team came in second, but they poured their blood, sweat, and tears into the challenge so I couldn’t ask for more! They had a great time and learned so much. Thanks Mayo for another great learning opportunity. I also want to thank Blake for being a great chaperone and giving the team confidence when they needed it. It was great for them to see the what their future could hold!
Hanging out at the Waterloo Career Center!
We need permanent telehealth virtual pulmonary rehabilitation for Medicare beneficiaries | American Association for Respiratory Care U.S. Senators Kyrsten Sinema (I-AZ), Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), and Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) introduced the Sustainable Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Services in the Home Act (S 3021). This bipartisan legislation is a companion to HR 1406 introduced in the House of Representatives.
As Respiratory Care Week comes to a close, I hope all Respiratory Therapists felt the love and appreciation for all you do!! I am always proud of my profession, but it is nice to have a week to be extra proud! Thanks for helping everyone breathe easy!!
