Did you attend the recent adult forum to hear about Reformation Church's SONshine Pantry? Every month, Reformation opens its doors to their neighbors to share needed cleaning supplies and personal hygiene items. 50 families were served at the distribution in August. These items are vital in maintaining a clean home and a healthy body, but cannot be purchased using SNAP funds. We all know how expensive these products can be, and if you don’t have the money, you go without, even though for most of us, these are considered necessities.
💲 Please consider a donation to our September Mission of the Month, Reformation’s SONshine Pantry, to help them continue this vital ministry. Go to mtzionlutheran.org/give, click on "give online now", and select "mission of the month" from the pull-down menu.

Sunday (9/8) will be our final outdoor worship service of the year, and it will include a blessing of the backpacks! All kids going to school this fall should bring their backpack for a blessing. (and just for fun, try to dress to match your backpack!) Also, we will follow the service with a cookout: hamburgers, brats, and hot-dogs galore!
BYO chair for worship, and a side-dish or dessert to share for the cookout (or just throw a couple bucks in the basket). Mt Zion provides the entrees and the drinks.
Join us on Saturday morning 9/7 from 9:30am to noon, as we go out into our community to be the hands of God to our neighbors! There are a lot of projects to pick from--check it out: https://www.mtzionlutheran.org/pages/sign-up
